Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with us!  

Luna Mexicana is one of the Bay Area’s most elaborate and inclusive Dia de los Muertos events. Like the celebration that inspires it, Luna Mexicana is a beautiful medley of exuberant dance, joyful music colorful costumes, flowers, candles, food, and – most of all – celebration of family.

About the Performance

This year’s Luna Mexicana program will include the return of Viva la Vida! – celebrating the life and artistic vision of iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo – created by Artistic Director Graham Lustig in collaboration with Martín Romero, Artistic Director of Ballet Folklórico México Danza.

– Join us in the theater lobby prior to the Paramount Theatre performances to visit the ofrendas (created by local artists), shop at the Luna Mexicana boutique, and enjoy refreshments including tamales, pan de muerto, Mexican hot chocolate and more!

  • Running time is approximately 2 hours, including intermission.
  • Doors open 60 minutes before show time.
  • Children 2 and under do not require a separate seat.
  • No outside food or beverage is allowed.
